Instructor: Toshio Ueno, the only person in the world to hold Master of Sake, Master Sake Sommelier, and WSET Sake Educator diploma, as well as a WSET Diploma. In 2016 he was awarded the industry’s most prestigious title Sake Samurai from Japan Sake & Shochu Makers Association.

Study Materials: For students registered by Monday, March 13, 2023, study materials will be available for pickup after Saturday, March 18, 2023. Students registering after Monday, March 13, 2023 will receive their study materials at the first class.

IMPORTANT: This 6-hour class will be taught in-person indoors.

The class consists of 6 hours of instruction that concludes with a short 30-question multiple-choice exam of 45 minutes. Successful candidates receive the internationally-recognized WSET Level 1 Award in Sake. WSET Level 1 Award in Sake is strongly recommended for those who have little training in or knowledge of sake.

Individual class or exam dates are not transferable to another course offering or to another person. This class must reach a minimum number of enrollees to proceed.
