"
Castello di Albola Chianti Classico is an estate produced wine that consistently hits the mark of being a great wine (95 points) at an affordable price (under $16). The Zonin family has owned the winery for forty years now and focus not just on the high quality of the wine but also make it in quantities large enough to keep it priced to be a bargain. We just received the 'polished and well made' 2015 Castello di Albola Chianti Classico which won a Gold Award from Decanter. Bruce Sanderson from Wine Spectator describes it as 'rich and lively,' designating it as a Smart Buy. Given that the 2015 vintage is among the greatest vintages we have seen in Chianti, it's a no-brainer to stock up on a 95 point Chianti for under $16! There is no better complement to a plate of pasta than a glass (or two) of Chianti! – Lance Montalto, The Wine House

ABOUT CASTELLO DI ALBOLA

The medieval village of Castello di Albola stands on top of the splendid Chianti hills, in an incomparable place for the charm of history, for the suggestions of art and for the unique agro-landscape context and unsurpassed harmony.

Belonged to the most noble Tuscan families, from the Acciaioli to the Samminiati, from the Pazzi to the Ginori Conti, since 1979 it has been owned by the Zonin family, which has dedicated its best care to it for forty years. The first commitment of the Zonin family was to bring the vineyards to a high quality production level, and then proceed with the arrangement of the farmhouses and the beautiful manor house which has a sixteenth-century plan, but retains the traces of the medieval castle in the two massive towers . Along with the recovery and restoration of the villa and the village, the rural artefacts that are now destined for accommodation have also been restored. The new cellar has been built perfectly harmonized in the surrounding landscape.

The Zonin family has also worked to expand both the vineyards and the farm, which now covers 900 hectares, of which over 125 are planted with vines and where more than 4 thousand olive trees stand out.
